Xcel Reduces Solar PV Rebate
Effective on October 25th, 2008, the Denver area utility Xcel has lowered their solar electric rebate from $4.50 to $3.50 a kilowatt in response to the increased tax incentives passed by Congress.  While this means a smaller rebate check for each new solar system owner, it also means they will be able to spread their pool of rebate-dedicated money around to a larger number of people.

While you may get less back from Xcel (but more back from the IRS), our region's energy-greening effort will benefit from the increased number of new systems added this year.

Who knows what changes will come with the new presidential administration.  We're just happy that we're located in one of the best markets for solar power.
